My wife and I have a wonderful relationship…as long as her mother’s not around. I hate that woman with the fire of a thousand burning suns and it’s mostly just because she’ll do anything to interfere with our marriage. She never liked me from the get go so she wasn’t too keen on us getting married – there’s something to be said for not having to live anywhere near your in-lawss and unfortunately, I live across the street from mine. Just as an example, the other day I was on http://www.direc4u.com/ looking at sports packages and my MIL comes barging in demanding why I’m spending money on something so selfish. I tried to explain to her that my wife ALSO likes football but she didn’t want to hear it – to her it was just an excuse. Sometimes I want to pick up my family and move far, far away from her but I know my wife would be devastated and that’s not a good solution for me. For now I’ve just got to bite my tongue.
