I have a friend who is a member of the drum and bugle corps in our school. She is one of the majorettes. Every time that there’s a field demonstration she always faints. The doctor said that it’s nothing serious but they have to distinguish if it is epileptic convulsion or stroke. He said that fainting is due to a temporary drop of blood flow to the head, which may be caused by standing up suddenly from sitting/lying position or prolonged standing without movement, emotional and physical stress. First aid will be is lay the person flat on the ground and if the person is on a chair, push his head down between his knees.
