San Agustin Metropolitan Cathedral
filed in Cagayan de Oro, Philippines on Feb.19, 2008
A stone church was built in 1845 and became San Agustin Metropolitan Cathedral. But in 1945, the said church was ruined during the American liberation. The first Archbishop was James T.G. Hayes. Because of the determination of Archbishop Hayes the church was rebuilt. It is the home of the Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro. If you are going to visit the Cathedral take time to notice its century old stained glass.
